Adelaide and Catalina Island

Adelaide went to Catalina Island for the first time!  She also went on her first boat ride and bus ride as well.  For Brad's parents Christmas gift we took them to Catalina.  We all had a great time and Adelaide really enjoyed her day on the Island!  Here are a few pictures of our day!

Adelaide and Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas here in California.  Most of Brad's family was here in California (parents (Nana and Pop), grandparents, and his Aunt and Uncle) and there were many get together throughout the week.  Adelaide got soo many great gifts and she truly enjoyed her Christmas!  Here are pictures from our 2009 Christmas Eve and Christmas day!

Adelaide and the Ferris Wheel

Adelaide has been asking Brad and I take her on the Giant Ferris Wheel at the Spectrum Shopping Center here in Irvine, Ca.  So of course we could not put it off another day and saturday night we took her on the Ferris Wheel and she loved it and has been talking about it ever since!  Here are a few pictures of Adelaide first time on a Ferris Wheel!

Adelaide and Christmas Time!

Adelaide loved all the festivities of Christmas this year!  She liked decorating the house, picking out our Christmas Tree, decorating the tree, and the stockings! She walked downstairs after we hung them on the fireplace the night before and sees them, points and says, "shoes"! Haha, it was too cute so she calls Christmas stockings shoes.  We took her to see Santa here at our community clubhouse, she would not sit on his lap but would take a family picture with him as long as it was Brad or I holding her.  Here are a few pictures of our Christmas time festivities.  

Adelaide is 22 Months Old!

Adelaide is becoming such a big girl as of late!  She is very independent.  For example if you try and help her carry anything or help her take off her shoes she will tell you No...Me (meaning she wants to do it)!  Her favorite word is No! She answers just about everything you ask her with the word "No", which can be frustrating and funny at times.  She loves to talk and can be found talking to her dolls and toys anytime of the day!  She is such a joy to have, and we can't get enough of her!  Here are a fews pictures of our 22 Month Old (and yes she was sleeping on the couch like that)!

Adelaide and Aunt Megan!

Aunt Megan came in town over Thanksgiving for a visit, and her and Adelaide had a blast!  We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner together and some good quality shopping time the next few days! Aunt Megan bought Adelaide her first pair of boots too! Soo cute!  Enjoy the pic!

Adelaide is 21 Months old!

Adelaide is growing a rate that is just tooo fast for us!  Her vocabulary has just about doubled in the last month and she surprises us everyday with a new word.  She is getting into her toys and books lately and really likes to play with her dolls.  She dresses them up and changes their diapers, as well as carries them around hugging and kissing them.  Too cute!  She is so loving and affectionate and is a really sweet little girl!

Adelaide's First Haircut!

We took Adelaide for her first haircut this weekend (on Saturday).  She did great sitting and did not mind the lady cutting her hair too much.  Here are a few pictures of her!

Here is a video of Adelaide eating a snack in her highchair.  I (Kate) was sitting at the island watching her and on my computer, and when I looked over, because she was really quiet, this is what I saw! Too funny!

Adelaide and Halloween!

Adelaide started getting into Halloween early in the morning with wanting to wear her Bee antennas (from her Bee costume) while she ate breakfast!  In the afternoon we got together with our neighbors at one of their houses for an early dinner and Trick-or-Treating afterwards all around the community.  Jacob was a sheriff, Adelaide was a cow(it was a little bit cooler out so she wore the cow), and little Jacob was a shark! The kids had so much fun knocking on the doors and getting candy, and they all really enjoyed it and did really well....especially Adelaide,  she was a pro by the end of it and filled up her entire pumpkin!! Adelaide and Halloween Events!

We have had a few Halloween fun filled days leading up to Halloween.  On Thursday we went to Tanaka Farms in Irvine, which has a corn maze, pumpkin picking, and a petting zoo.  Adelaide loved playing in the pumpkin fields and picked out her very own pumpkin all on her own.  On Friday night we went to a Monster Mash at the Children's Museum in Irvine.  Adelaide had a great time walking around the museum getting treats and we could not believe it but she actually wore her Bee costume the entire time...and the headband!!  Enjoy the pictures!
