Adelaide and an Ice Cream Cone(s)!

Adelaide had her first Ice Cream Cone and she loved it!  Here are a few pictures of her  with a small ice cream cone and then a few days later she and her mama shared a big ice cream cone, and she did not make that big of a mess!

Adelaide Loves Corn!

We grilled a couple times this weekend and we picked up some fresh white corn on the cob to have with our meals and Adelaide LOVED it!  This was the first time she has had corn on the cob.  Here are a few pictures of her enjoying her corn!

Adelaide and The Zoo!

We took Adelaide to the Zoo for the first time ever this weekend.  We went to the Santa Ana Zoo, which is about a 5 minute drive from our house.  It is a really small zoo, but perfect for a little/quick outing.  We saw about 20 different types of Monkeys, Birds, Goats, a Bald Eagle, Horses, Lamas', and a bunny, etc.  We had a great time and Adelaide really enjoyed the monkeys and parrots (mainly because the parrots were making a lot of noise and kept on catching her attention).  Enjoy the pictures of Adelaide's first trip to a zoo! (Also Brad captured Adelaide do her funny/crazy walk, (it is the first picture of this post) she bends her knees and walked like she is is hunched over)...it is the funniest thing to see we are trying to get it on video.

Adelaide and The Beach

So...we took Adelaide to Newport Beach this past Friday night to get Perry's Pizza.  While we waited for the pizza we decided to take her by the water.  Now this is not the first time Adelaide has been to the beach, but it was the first time she has been since she can walk.  As you can see from the pictures......she is not a big fan of the beach right now (really it was just the sand that she did not like).  The second we put her feet down on the sand the tears started!  We will have to work on this, this summer and get her used to the sand! Adelaide and Disneyland!

Adelaide and I (Kate) went to Disneyland! It was Adelaide's first time to Disneyland and she had a wonderful time.  We went with three other moms and their kids from the neighborhood.  We went on Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Dumbo, It's a Small World, a train ride, and the carousel! She loved all of the rides except for Pinocchio (it was a kinda scary ride, so I see why she did not like it) so she cried a little, but was fine toward the end of it.  Here are a few pictures of our day there, (I am sure this is one of many trips for us to Disneyland)!  The pictures in her car seat when she was awake was on our way there, and then what she looked like when we got home!

Adelaide is 15 Months Old!

Oh my!  Where does the time go...our little girl is 15 months old already!  She has turned a corner this month in comprehending what we say to her, i.e. we asked her to close the refrigerator door (now we have never asked her to do this, but just wanted to see if she understood) and wouldn't you know...she walked over to it and closed it!  Adelaide loves to take objects (and by objects I mean anything she can get her hands on, toys, spoons, cups, balls, anything) from one area of the house and bring them to another or empty out our wallets and then try and put everything back in them.  She also likes to feed herself (which at times can be messy), but she does a really good job.  Everyday she amazes us with something new she does or understands and we are having a wonderful time watching her grow!
