Adelaide and I (Kate) went to the Wild Animal park with our neighborhood friends (3 other Moms and their kids) in San Diego. We had a great time and so did the kids, minus the fact that it was close to 100 degrees that day! The kids all did great and were such troopers. There was a water area in the park that they just loved and it cooled them down too. They got to touch some animals that were like deer, they saw baby cougars, and we went on The Journey into Africa Tour in which we got to see a ton of animals native to Africa! We had a great day and can not wait to o back! Enjoy the pictures.

Adelaide and the Swimming Pool!
Adelaide loves to go to our community's pool! She has the best time and never wants to get out of the water. She has learned soo much in the past month. She knows how to blow bubbles in the water, kick her feet, and just this past weekend Brad got her to jump off from the side into the pool (of course Brad catches her), but she finally got the nerve/trust to jump! Here are some pictures of her on her way to the pool and in the pool with Dad.

Adelaide is 17 Months Old!
Adelaide is getting to be such a big girl! She is understanding soo much of what Mom and Dad say to her. She is starting to talk a little bit more, she says Mom and Dad, woof (for when she see a dog), Hi, baby, and she also has her owns words when she points to things she tries to name them. Adelaide is also a big helper around the house or anywhere we go, if we are cleaning she wants to too (as you can see by the pictures above), if we are putting her toys or books away she jumps right in to help (which is wonderful)! Another thing, is that she is getting faster! Adelaide does not know the meaning of the word walk, she runs everywhere she goes, even if it is just to another room in the house she is there in a second! (Mom is going to have to work on her sprinting soon just to keep up with her)!
She is still her smiley self just as she was when she was a baby. And she is getting braver we have noticed when we are out in public she will walk closer or up to people she doesn't know (we are always right there with her) but it is funny to see her checking other people out and she is very curious about others as well. She continues to make us laugh everyday and keeps us on our toes!
